What are your favorite sports leggings?
Or is it just a pair of pants that you can exercise.
But have you ever thought about the fabric on your skin and how it affects how you feel when you exercise?
Seamless activewear may be a fitness buzzword, but there are still a lot of people who aren’t sure what it really means!
The first step to seamless learning: Understand the difference between seamless leggings and regular leggings.
Regular leggings are made using a completely different sewing method than regular cutting and sewing. It is made in a process similar to that used to make pantyhose. Seamless garments are mainly made of microfiber yarns, lycra and cotton woven together on machines called overwraps, whether compressed, mesh or high-performance. Seamless leggings, by contrast, not only involve different production styles, but also have their own unique fabric, which is knitted rather than woven.
Seamless fabrics are woven on tubular machines with only the inner leg seams stitched together. Because seamless fabrics are knitted, they tend to be lighter and have more flexibility and shape retention than regular tights. Without any seams or stitches, seamless leggings are also super unlimited, flexible and offer maximum freedom of movement. In other words, they’re designed for those heart-pounding HIIT workouts where your body has to bend and move indefinitely.
The dereference between seamless leggings and regular leggings:
In the regular leggings produced today, seams are the visible threads they sew together. You’ll usually see them on the inside of the leg and around the waist. Sometimes clothing brands use seams to make a fashion statement or emphasize a special design.
In seamless leggings, you can’t really tell where the fabric is stitched without visible stitches. This usually makes the pants look cleaner and has some other benefits as well.
